Bukharian Jewish voters in New York City have until Oct. 24 to register ahead of the Nov. 3 general election, The Bukharian Times reminded readers in a civic alert this month. On that ballot New Yorkers will choose a governor and attorney general, vote in congressional races, and decide several ballot measures.

Eligible voters must be U.S. citizens and at least 18 by Election Day. City residents can register online at e-register.vote.nyc—the NYC Board of Elections portal for first-time registration, name or address changes, and party enrollment—or through the New York State DMV electronic voter registration application if they hold a valid state driver’s license, permit, or non-driver ID. The Board of Elections calendar lists the same Oct. 24 registration deadline for the Nov. 3, 2026 general election for both in-person and mail/online filings.

Early voting runs from Oct. 24 through Nov. 1. On Election Day, Nov. 3, polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Times urged participation so the Bukharian Jewish community has a voice in decisions that shape its future: “Every vote counts.”
